We are focusing mechanisms.  We have the ability to focus our minds in whatever way we choose.
The quality question I ask myself is “How do I choose to focus my energy today?” Some of you may be feeling a little guilty or shameful for how your day went down on Thanksgiving.  Did you eat too much?  Did you say or think something to or about someone out of anger, frustration, resentment, fear? So today you have a choice.  You can continue to ruminate about what went wrong yesterday, OR you can forgive yourself and make today the best day possible.  Personally I feel a little out of sorts.

The foods I ate were not my normal foods.  I was around people who personally challenged me.
Nothing was overly drastic or dramatic. I literally take my hands and shake them about, like shaking off negative energy.  I also take my hands and make a sweeping motion with them all around my body (imagine taking your hands, like you are wiping off crumbs that have fallen on you, in a sort of sloughing off, sweeping motion).  Just let it go, letting go of any stress, tension, and strain that is keeping you “stuck” in a bad mood. How can you muster gratitude beyond the illusion?  Gratitude is the highest vibration on the planet and attracts to you that what you want.

So how can you FEEL gratitude when scarcity apparently surrounds you? What is the Illusion?  The Illusion is that we are weak human beings without resources.  The bigger Illusion is that we are not safe to begin with, that we are finite beings that will perish when our bodies die.  I know it may APPEAR this way, but is it really true?  The hardest thing you may ever learn is how to be grateful and have faith beyond this very sticky reality of lack and fear thinking. I’m learning this. I don’t have it all figured out.  I DO know that I bought into the fear for a couple of months, and I DO know that I saw clearly how it impacted my business results.  I had to get out of my own way and SEE BEYOND the Illusion of Lack.

Things are now turning around for me because I changed my focus to “I am already safe and supported in the Universe.  I am now allowing my Well-Being.”  I choose not to focus on things that could frighten me and put me back into Lack mode. So do you need to reset your Gratitude button? I do a reset every day.  Look.  I understand. This is not easy stuff to practice. Like I said, I’m not all-knowing and wise, especially when I’m in my ego.  I’m just like you. I’m still learning to pick habits that work for me and let go of ones that are comfortable and damaging to me. The irony is that it’s so magnetic to hold onto the ones that are the most destructive.  Why? Because I think they keep me safe. I need to reprogram my mind to realize that SAFETY=SPIRITUAL SUICIDE.  Safety is overrated.  When I practice my safe habits, I’m not living to the best of my ability.

When I squash my creativity and don’t take any risks, it doesn’t feel good to my spiritual being. It feels like deadening my senses.  And remember, you are a spiritual being, living in a spiritual universe, governed by spiritual law. To “play it safe” is one of the most detrimental things we can do to betray ourselves as spiritual beings having a human experience.  Safety equals Spiritua l Suicide. I simply want to make you aware of this.  Ponder it.  And ask yourself, “How can I start being true to myself and unleash my spiritual creativity?”  You and I are ALREADY safe!  Let’s waste no more time on this goal.
